U10 CMSA Rules - CMSA Game Rules for U10
- Pitching rubber is 30' in U10
- Bases are set @ 45'
- A home run line is a series of cones set 40' beyond each base:
- Flyball caught past the home run line is an out.
- A home run is a ball that touches the ground past the home run line.
- Base umpires will determine if a ground ball crosses the home run line.
- The maximum number of players allowed on the playing field is six (6):
- CMSA infield only in U10 - 6 fielders on the field at a time– there are a home run line and no outfield.
- Fair Play - All players must sit once before any player sits a second time (ie team of 9 players):
- Batting order includes all players. registered on the team (all 9 players are in the batting rotation).
- Each inning in the field 3 players will sit - all 9. players must sit once before any player sits out a second time (barring injury etc).
- Kids pitch until there is a hit, an out or 4 balls pitched:
- No walks rule - after 4 balls the batters coach pitches the remaining strikes.
- e if the count is 4 balls and 2 strikes:
- All Coach pitches are strikes.
- The coach has 1 strike left in this case.
- Foul balls hit off the coach are not outs.
- No bunting or stealing while the coach is pitching.
